GNR Competition: Terms & Conditions

  1. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN THIS PRIZE DRAW.
  2. Promotion Description: Highland Spring’s competition prize draw of 4 pairs of tickets to participate in the “Great North Run” ("Prize Draw") begins on Monday 19th July 2021 at 12:00 (London) and ends on Thursday 22nd July 2021 at 12:01PM (London) (the "Promotion Period"). By participating in the Prize Draw, each entrant will be deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions and agreed to be bound by them and the decisions of the Sponsor (as defined in paragraph 10), which shall be final and binding in all respects. The Prize Draw is run by Bright Signals on behalf of the Sponsor and is responsible for the collection, submission and processing of entries and the overall administration of the Prize Draw. The Sponsor reserves the right to amend, alter or withdraw the promotion in whole or in part at any time during the Promotion Period.
  3. Eligibility: The Prize Draw is open to legal residents of the UK (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland), Isle of Man or Channel Islands only, who are 18 years or older. Employees of the Sponsor or its group companies (and their immediate families – spouse, civil partner, parents, sibling and children) and anyone else professionally connected with the Prize Draw are ineligible to enter the Prize Draw or to win a Prize. In entering the Prize Draw, entrants confirm that they are eligible to do so and eligible to claim the Prize they may win. The Sponsor may require entrants to provide proof of eligibility to enter the Prize Draw and/or claim their Prize.
  4. Winner’s Selection: The winners of the Prize Draw will be selected in a random draw using a random name generator tool from all eligible entries received throughout the Promotion Period. The random draw will be conducted within 1 day of the end of the Promotion Period. The random draw will be conducted by Bright Signals on behalf of the Sponsor, whose decisions are final. The Sponsor will aim to notify the winners via message from its official Facebook and Instagram accounts by Thursday 22nd July at 17:00. If winners do not respond to the Sponsor within 24 hours of being notified by the Sponsor, then the relevant winner’s Prize will be forfeited and the Sponsor will be entitled to select another winner at random. Any winner notification returned as undeliverable may result in Prize forfeiture.
  5. Prize: Four winners will win two tickets to the Great North Run on Sunday 12th September 2021 (“Prize”). The Prize does not include any travel, travel insurance or accommodation which may need to be purchased by the winners in order to make use of the Prize, or any other expenses. No cash or other alternative will be offered in whole or in part for the Prize. The Prize cannot be transferred, redeemed for cash or substituted by a winner. The Prize is subject to the Great Run Company’s terms and conditions https://www.greatrun.org/great-run-terms-and-conditions. The Sponsor reserves the right in its sole and absolute discretion to award a substitute prize of equal or greater value if a prize described in these terms and conditions is unavailable or cannot be awarded, in whole or in part, for any reason. The Sponsor will not replace any lost or stolen prize items. The Prize will only be awarded and/or delivered to addresses within the UK (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland), Isle Of Man, or Channel Islands. Failure to comply with these terms and conditions will result in forfeiture of the Prize.
  6. Online Entry: Enter the competition on Facebook or Instagram by tagging a friend in the comments section of the Prize Draw post.

    Automated or robotic entries submitted by individuals or organisations will be disqualified. Multiple entries are allowed. The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to disqualify any entry without notice if it reasonably believes any entrant has: (a) acted fraudulently, tampered with or attempted to disrupt or tamper with the operation of the Prize Draw or acted in violation of these terms and conditions; or (b) provided an entry which the Sponsor reasonably believes is infringing, defamatory, offensive, discriminatory, obscene, derogatory of any person or entity, likely to infringe the privacy or intellectual property of a third party or is otherwise inappropriate. All entries must be posted before the end of the Promotion Period in order to participate. The Sponsor will not accept: responsibility for Prize Draw entries that are lost or delayed in transit, regardless of cause, including, for example, as a result of any equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, satellite, network, server, computer hardware or software failure of any kind; or proof of posting or transmission as proof of receipt of entry to the Prize Draw.

    7. Publicity: The Sponsor must either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation the Sponsor will send the surname and county of Prize winners and, if applicable copies of their winning entries, to anyone who emails enquiries@highlandspringgroup.com or writes to the address set out in paragraph 10 (enclosing a self-addressed envelope) within one month after the Promotion Period. If you object to any or all of your surname, county and winning entry being published or made available, please contact the Sponsor. In such circumstances, the Sponsor must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.

    8. Privacy: The Sponsor only uses entrants’ personal information in accordance with its privacy policy, which can be found at http://highlandspring.co.uk/more-information/privacy-policy/

    9. Limitation of Liability: To the extent permitted by law, the Sponsor shall have no liability for: (a) technical problems of any kind which may limit or prevent participation in the Prize Draw; (b) any damage to, or viruses that may be transmitted to or infect, computer equipment as a result of participation in the Prize Draw; (c) any injury, loss or damage arising directly or indirectly from or in connection with the receipt, use or allocation of a Prize; or (d) any other events beyond the Sponsor’s reasonable control that may cause the Prize Draw to be cancelled, modified, disrupted or corrupted or may lead to loss, delay or damage of a Prize. If, for any reason, the Prize Draw is not capable of running as planned, for any reason beyond the control of the Sponsor, then the Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Prize Draw. In such event, the Sponsor may, in its sole discretion, perform the random drawing from among all eligible entries received prior to or after such cancellation, suspension, or modification.
